Long may she wave! This is our folk art interpretation of the original flag of the newly formed nation. We captured the movement of the flag in the wind with the pattern and the quilted lines.
We made this wall hanging out of 100%, cotton hand dyed batik and backed and bound in a navy blue solid. The stars are appliqued with a blanket stitch. The field of stars is quilted with two circles. The stripes are quilted with lines that match the "wave" of the stripes.
There are rings on the back to hang it, but it can also be used as a table mat. It is not insulated, so it should not be used as a hot trivet.
