All great art results from collaboration. If Lisa del Giocondo hadn’t sat down for Leonardo da Vinci, the world would have been denied the mystery of the Mona Lisa’s smile! My goal is to work with you to complete the vision you have for your quilt.

I’ve made my pricing transparent and included as many services as possible to meet your finishing needs. From batting to binding, I’ve got you! And I’m confident that when your quilt is finished, we’ll both be wearing unmistakable smiles.

Each quilting rate includes:

• Superior Omni 40 wt thread.
• A pantograph or design from my library.
• Light pressing before it is loaded.
• Burying quilting threads as needed.
• Trimming the finished quilt.
• There is no loading fee.

How to Calculate Your Quilt’s Base Cost:

·         Calculate the area of your quilt top in square inches: Width x Height = Area. Then multiply the Area by the Rate for the service you want.

·         Use our handy Quote Calculator to estimate your total cost. I offer batting, binding services, repairs, custom quilt labels, and quick turnaround for an additional charge per product/service.

🪡 Quilting Types, Rates & Timing 🪡

1. Simple Edge‑to‑Edge Quilting:

·         A continuous light to medium-density design stitched across the entire quilt (including the borders) using pantographs.

·         Simple, free-motion meandering.

·         One thread color.

·         Two-week turnaround.

·         $0.035 per square inch.

Minimum charge: $45

2. Semi-Custom and Dense Edge-to-Edge Quilting:

·         A dense edge-to-edge design.

·         A light to medium density edge-to-edge design stitched from border to border, with the borders and corners stitched in a different design.

·         Simple block fills.

·         One thread color.

·         Two-week turnaround.

·         $0.05 per square inch.

Minimum charge: $55

 3. Custom Quilting: Densely stitched edge-to-edge patterns with custom borders and corner designs.

·         Stitching in the ditch, ruler work.

·         Free-motion quilting/echoing around and within printed patterns, appliqued designs, and embroidery work.

·         Block-specific custom designs.

·         Up to two thread colors.

·         Three-week turnaround.

·         $0.07 per square inch.

Minimum charge: $85

4. Heirloom Quilting:

·         Every block treated individually.

·         Custom details.

·         Complex designs such as stippling, trapunto, couching, feathers.

·         Up to three thread color changes.

·         Time frame is based on complexity and will be determined when we discuss your project.

·         $0.10 to $0.25 per square inch.

Minimum charge: $125

➕ Additional Services:

Quilting Designs: I have a library of pantographs for you to choose from at no additional charge. But there are other options out there!

•         If you’ve found a design that you love online and I don’t have it, I’ll be happy to purchase it. Just send me the name of the design and the website link. The cost of the pantograph will be added to your invoice.
•          I can also design a pantograph or motif for you. For example, a monogram or a specific shape or theme.
  •        Custom pantographs are $15 each.
  •         Individual custom motifs are $8 each.

Batting:

• If you don’t have batting on hand, or want to save on the cost of shipping your project to me, choose one of these options:
  •          Quilter’s Dream Cotton Select: $0.0055/linear inch.
  •         Warm & Natural: $0.0044/linear inch.
•          I can order any size or type of batting from both Quilter’s Dream and the Warm Company. If you have a specific type of batting in mind, I can get it. This is not an option if you have a tight deadline for your quilt.

Binding: If binding isn’t your thing, I can help!

•      Attach Binding
  •      Send me your binding with the quilt and I’ll attach it by machine.
    •      Machine stitched to front & back: $0.10 per linear inch. 
    •      Machine stitched to front only: $0.6 per linear inch.
      

•      Make Binding
  •      I can also make the binding for you from fabric you send with your quilt.
  •      Cutting, joining, and pressing the binding: $0.10 per linear inch

Custom Quilt Label:

·         Custom computer-designed and printed label on cotton (washable): $10

·         Custom embroidered label on cotton: $20

·         Labels can be purchased separately without using the quilting service.

Other Services:

·         Rush fee (72‑hour turnaround): +20%

·         Heavy pressing: $15

·         Seam repair: $0.50 to $5 per seam. It depends on the length/severity and/or frequency. We’ll chat about it before I fix anything.
